Osiris

The djed stands.

A king taken apart.

Osiris teaches the arts of civilization and is murdered by his brother Set. His resurrection is not a return to the old throne. He becomes sovereign of Duat, the inner world, while Horus takes the living crown. Grain is his body: cut, buried, risen.

The myth refuses the idea that the true king is only the one you can see in daylight. Something essential continues underground, judging, feeding.
