“I will gather the pieces.”
Scattered.
Osiris is tricked into a coffin and cut to pieces. Isis searches the length of Egypt. She finds what she can, invents what she cannot, and from the reassembled beloved she conceives Horus. She is magician, mourner, mother, and the throne itself: her name is the seat.
Some feel a widow’s waiting. Others feel the intelligence of a love that refuses annihilation: the pieces will not jump back together. Someone has to go looking.

INTERPRETATION
Isis appears when something precious has been dismembered: a life, a body of work, a family, a faith. The medicine is not positive thinking. It is the slow, exact labor of gathering.
The shadow
The piece declared lost that is only missing. Replica instead of reconstitution.
